Responsible AI: Cross Industry Forum – A Dialogue on Trust, Transparency and Governance

A candid, practical conversation across domains that rarely meet – but face strikingly similar dilemmas. On 19 November Mondai | House of AI is happy to host the Cross Industry Forum in Delft!

(de voertaal van dit event is Nederlands)

TU Delft, KPMG and SAS bring together professionals and independent voices -including data protection and ethics experts- to discuss transparency, explainability, governance, and cross-sector learning around AI dilemma’s and challenges.

While the contexts may differ, financial services, government and healthcare share a common challenge: deploying AI in environments where trust, fairness and oversight are non-negotiable.

By bringing these sectors together, this forum aims to move beyond silos – creating space for mutual learning around concrete dilemmas, trade-offs, and design choices. Whether it’s credit scoring, patient diagnostics or algorithmic decision-making in public services, the stakes are high – and the lessons are increasingly universal.

As AI increasingly informs decision-making in financial institutions, government bodies, and healthcare organizations, the call for responsibility grows louder. It’s no longer enough to have guiding principles on paper – responsibility must be embedded in technology, practices, processes, and organizational culture.

This closed-door forum brings together experiences from professionals in financial services, the public sector, and healthcare to discuss how to ensure transparency, explainability, and governance when deploying AI. What does it take to stay in control – technically, ethically, and organizationally? And how can sectors learn from one another’s approaches?

The session is organized in collaboration with TU Delft, KPMG and SAS, to bring together independent voices, such as representatives from data protection authorities and ethics boards, to enrich the discussion with perspectives on regulation, (responsible) innovation, oversight, and societal impact.

Rather than offering definitive answers, this forum creates space for open, critical dialogue among peers facing similar challenges: how to move from high-level AI principles to responsible, robust implementation in day-to-day practice.
