AI Lab Lunch: BIO Lab & DI_Lab w/ Team Epoch

In deze AI Lab Lunch presenteren het BIO Lab en het DI_Lab zichzelf en hun laatste ontwikkelingen! Extra bij deze Lab Lunch is er een korte introductie van Team EPOCH, het AI Dreamteam van de TU Delft.

The BIO Lab (Biomedical Intervention Optimization) focuses on improving the training and feedback efficiency of machine learning algorithms by developing novel neural network architecture designing novel artificial neural network architectures and incorporating biologically-inspired neural network models. Newly developed concepts and algorithms will be applied to biomedical imaging problems, notably to optimize tumour irradiation protocols with missing information and making longitudinal super-resolution imaging in vivo possible by limiting irradiation damage.

The DI_Lab (Designing Intelligence Lab) is about humans and AI designing the future in dialogue. The overarching goal of the DI_Lab is to identify and design the conditions, methods, and tools for human and artificial intelligence to creatively work together. They split this into the following objectives: Multimodal Processes, Hybrid Intelligence, Creative Modalities and Next-Gen Design Methods.

Team EPOCH is the Artificial Intelligence Dream Team. They participate in online AI competitions, with teams from all around the world. Recently Team EPOCH finished in 9th place at the CityLearn Challenge. During this competition, they developed an AI model that helped people unlock the full energy potential of their solar panels.

Per 4 seminars from the AI (-related) seminar series: Human-Centred Artificial Intelligence Systems (HCAIS) Deep Dive; and Delft AI Lab Lunches, PhD candidates from partaking TU Delft faculties can earn 0.5 GSC for up to 1.5 GSC (category: Discipline Related Skills). Check with your local Faculty Graduate School if they offer this option for earning GSC; and with your supervisors if they accept our seminars on your Doctoral Education list. 

AI Lab Lunch Serie
De Delft AI Lab Lunch is een maandelijkse meet-up georganiseerd voor en door de TU Delft AI Labs & Talent gemeenschap. Elke maand presenteren twee Delft AI Labs hun werk en bespreken zij uitdagingen en ontwikkelingen in hun vakgebied. Tijdens deze evenementen kun je deelnemen, leren, connecties maken, inspireren en geïnspireerd worden door en met de Delft AI Labs. We nodigen iedereen die in AI geïnteresseerd is uit om mee te doen!
