Can we open up data platforms while safeguarding quality, sovereignty and control over data?

(This event will be held in English)

All digital businesses produce data. Data platforms facilitate businesses in exchanging this data, think of data marketplaces or data spaces. When opened up, these data platforms could reduce the dependency on AI owned by big tech. However, opening up data platforms raises some questions. How open should a data platform be? How do we design for openness of data platforms? And, can we open up data platforms while safeguarding quality, sovereignty and control over data?

Human-centered Design at Scale Lab, TU Delft AI Initiative.

To shed a light on the world of data sharing and data platforms, this seminar will provide a clear overview by academia and industry.

Mark de Reuver will present his research on data platforms and, in a hands-on session, help you explore opportunities of data platforms for yourself. Rajarshi Chakraborty will give us insights on how data is shared between institutions. And KickstartAI will present a case study on how data sharing and data platforms work in the field, in partnership with one of their founding companies.
