AI Meet Up: AI for Bioscience
October 20, 2022 - 15:45 - 17:30
AI for Bioscience
Bio-technology is a growth area which can benefit Dutch society and stakeholders internationally. This AI Meet Up showcases how the cooperation of AI for Bioscience is approached in Delft together with Prof. Dr. Henk Noorman from DSM and an academic speaker of the TU. The AI4B.io lab – set up in collaboration by TU Delft and Royal DSM – is the first of its kind in Europe to apply AI to full-scale bio-manufacturing, from microbial strain development to process optimisation and scheduling. They brings together engineers, researchers, professors, entrepreneurs and students from TU Delft and DSM to achieve long-term innovation in the domain of AI for developing biobased products and optimizing biobased production technologies.
The doors will open at 15.45, and the speakers will start at 16.00. There will be drinks afterward. Come join us for a lively discussion!
The AI Meet Ups
The Meet Ups are a monthly event series, where each time a new AI issue is put to the test. It is our goal to showcase the Artificial Intelligence (AI) ecosystem of Delft and Zuid-Holland, to inspire students and the surrounding area, and to give academia and industry a place to network.
On September 27th, we held the Ethics and AI meet up where Dr. Stefan Buijsman from the TU Delft and Eveline Jacobson from the UWV explored how the ethical challenges at the UWV impact their AI development and use. In our next edition – on November 24th – we will tackle the topic of AI for Drones together with Prof. Dr. Guido de Croon from the TU Delft and Michaël Ozo from XO Sight.
